General: | 9 terminals, all a short distance from each other, but unless you are transferring to the terminal next door it could be too far to walk comfortably. The LAX shuttle connects all the terminals for free. To check which terminal you need, see Airline Locations below. |

Ground transport at LAX is organised according to coulored signs hanging from the ceiling outside the arrivals level of each terminal. For example LAX shuttle bus C to the bus transit center/MTA City Bus Center leaves from under the blue sign, and the LAX Shuttle A Bus connecting the terminals leaves from under the white sign. Rental Car Shuttles leave from under the Purple signs, Buses & Long distance vans under the Green signs, Shared Vans/Shuttles from under the Orange signs, and Hotel and Courtesy shuttles from under the Red signs.

LAX Shuttle Buses: buses stop at each terminal (under the Blue signs) every 10-20 mins: | LAX Shuttle Bus A connects all the terminals with each other. Free bus. LAX Shuttle Bus B connects all the terminals with Parking Lot B at 111th St. Free bus. FlyAway Bus to Los Angeles Union Train Station (24hr service): |
Route: A non-stop bus service now operates all day and evenings from LAX to 3 destinations: 1: Union Station (Patsaouras Transit Plaza, Berth 9) in downtown LA. 2: Van Nuys (San Fernando Valley). 3: Westwood (West Los Angeles). Pickups and Drops are made at each terminal at the airport. Because of the use of high occupancy vehicle lanes, the trip takes just 45 mins in rush hour and even less at non peak times. Timings: This service operates every 30 mins (on the hour and half hour) 0500-0100. There is also an hourly service 0100-0500 on the hour. Cost: $3 each way for adults or $2 for children (2-12). Airport Bus of Bakersfield: | Route: Runs to Bakersfield. Timings: Buses depart the airport at 1030, 1200, 1500, 1900 & 2230. Buses depart Bakersfield at 0300, 0500, 0900, 1300 & 1800. Antelope Valley Airport Express: | Route: Calls at all terminals and runs to Newhall, Palmdale, Santa Clarita Valley and Lancaster in the Antelope Valley. Central Coast Shuttle: | Route: Runs to Santa Maria & Buelton. They also drop off in Ventura, Santa Barbara, Buellton, Solvang area, Santa Maria. It picks up under the green sign at all terminals where it says buses and long distance vans. Timings: It departs LAX at 0900, 1201, 1500, 1900 and 2200. Cost: One way to Santa Maria $65. Travel Time: Transfer time to Santa Maria or Bueltton about 3.5hrs. In adition to the above, they run luxury mini-buses. Note for travelers: | All inbound buses & vans, and the LAX shuttles, unload on the Upper/Departure Level. Frequent, free shuttle service is provided between terminals (~every 12 to 15 mins) to get from one terminal to another. To use this service, board the Airline Connections "A" Shuttle under the LAX Shuttle & Airline Connections blue sign on the Lower/Arrival Level islands in front of each terminal. |

Big Blue Bus #3 to Marina del Rey & Santa Monica | Route: Bus No3 runs from the Metro Green line station, to the LAX Transit Center/MTA City Bus Center, then along Lincoln Ave to Marina del Rey and Santa Monica. It then turns up Montana Ave to Brentwood, terminating at the UCLA Transit Center. For West Hollywood, change at Santa Monica onto the 304 Bus which runs up Santa Monica Blvd. Timings: Buses leave the LAX Transit Center weekdays ~every 10 mins 0540-0010, Sat ~every 20 mins 0600-2346 & Sun ~every 30 mins 0615-0010. Bus Line #6 to UCLA Westwood via Sepulveda Blvd: | Route: MTA Green Line Station - LAX Transit Center - Fox Hills Mall Transit Center - Sepulveda Ave - Wilshire Blvd - UCLA Westwood. Timings: Buses leave the LAX Transit Center Mon-Fri every 10-20 mins 0525-1650, then every 30-60 mins until 2256. Weekends & Holidays every 20-30 mins 0558-1954 then hourly until 2256. Metro Trains: | There is no train station at the airport itself, however there is a Metro train station nearby, called Aviation/LAX (located at Aviation/Imperial Blvd). This is reached by the free bus: LAX Shuttle bus G., which departs from under the Blue sign outside each terminal lower level. Routes: Aviation/LAX is on the Green line, which routes as follows: Redondo Beach - Douglas - El Segundo - Mariposa - Aviation/LAX - Hawthorne - Crenshaw - Vermont - Harbor Freeway - Avalon - Imperial/Wilmington (change here for the Blue Line to Long Beach City & 7th St/Metro Center) - Long Beach - Lakewood - Norwalk. Car Parking: Perimeter Lots B (long stay) & C (short stay) offer 2 hrs free parking. The Shuttle bus to the long term lot leaves from under the Blue sign. There is a cell-phone waiting lot on the corner of Airport Blvd & Arbor Vitae St.

Baggage Storage: Left luggage facilities are NOT available at any of the terminals. However, there a a few off-airport companies that will store bags.
