By Road: Driving times: Downtown Newport News ~15 mins, Williamsburg 20 mins, Hampton 20 mins, Downtown Norfolk 40 mins, Virginia Beach Oceanfront 50 mins, Downtown Richmond 60 mins & North Carolina Outer Banks ~2 hrs.
By Taxi: Taxis wait in a holding area near the west end of the terminal (close to the AirTran ticket desk). Location: 12 km/7 Miles E of the City.
By Taxi: To downtown Richmond $18-25/10-12 mins.
By Bus: The Greater Richmond Transit Company (GRTC)(804) 358 4782, runs buses to the Richmond terminal and to the city. Their website is supposed to provide info regarding routes, but I was unable to access it properly. Reportedly $0.50 to the city.
