Atlas Bus to Dubrovnik City: | Route: Airport (outside Terminal B) - Plat - Mlini - Pile Gate (for Dubrovnik Old City) - Gruz (bus station some 5 km/3 Miles W of Dubrovnik Old city, near the ferry port at Gruž). Cost: The fare is HRK 35 one way, pay the driver. Timings: Buses leave the airport after flight arrivals once all passengers are through customs. Buses for the trip to the airport are supposed to leave 90 mins before Croatian Airlines scheduled flights, however the schedule for buses is only posted the day before (at the bus station or at the tourist information office outside Pile Gate). Transfer Time: Takes ~30 mins to Pile Gate. Contact: Tel (+385-20) 773-232. Note: The bus is a great way to get TO the city or ferry port. The only problem with taking this bus back to the airport is that there is no information posted at the bus station or at Pile Gate, until the day before, other than to say that buses leave 90 mins before flight departures. Clearly this is not always the case. Passengers taking charter flights and flights on other airlines may find it hard to determine when buses leave (I know I did!). Notes from A traveller March 2008: The Atlas bus also calls at the Old Town (Pile Gate) after starting at the bus station (Gruz) then onto the airport. On arrival you do the Old Town first. The information desk at the bus station had a list of Atlas buses for the airport up and was very helpful. |
Korčula Transfers Bus: | The bus leaves from outside Terminal B and runs: Airport - Orašac - Slano - Orebic - Ferry to Korcula. There is a sign outside the terminal, but no schedules are shown. |
Bus #11: | Runs from Dubrovnik to Molunat and stops outside the airport terminal but only 3 times daily. |
Bus #27: | Runs from Radovcici to Vitaljna and stops outside the airport terminal, but only 3 times daily. |
Bus #31: | Stops outside the airport terminal twice an hour ~1020-2215. The route is from Gruda to Cavtat and return with stops at Radovčići. Cost is HRK 8 and you buy a ticket beforehand at a newsagent, or a little more if bought on board. |
Bus #38: | Runs from Dubrovnik to Gruda along the road outside the airport. |
By Boat: A novel way of getting to the airport from the city is to take a small boat from the Old Town quay to Cavtat. They run every 30-60 mins, cost HRK 50 one way HRK 80 round trip and take 45 mins. Then take a taxi the last 10 mins to the airport. The taxi rank in Cavtat is next to the bus station. If no taxi is there, the restaurant next door will call for one. Boat Schedule: Boats leave Dubrovnik old city daily at 1030, 1130, 1200, 1230, 1300, 1400, 1530, 1600, 1700, 1730 & 1830. Boats leave Cavtat daily at 0900, 0930, 1030, 1300, 1400, 1500, 1600, 1630 & 1730.
