To and From the Airport

Curitiba - Alfonso Pena (CWB):

Location: 15 km/9 miles SE of the city centre, in São José dos Pinhais.
Airport Overview: A single small terminal with arrivals on the ground level and departures on the upper.
By Taxi: Taxis wait on the lower level, turn left as you exit the building. To Curitiba City ~BRL 50/20-30 mins. Radio Taxi Sereia Tel 3352 5252 or 3346 4646.

By Bus:
Aeroporto Executivo Bus to Curitiba city: Bus Stops: At the airport, the bus stop is just outside the terminal on the lower/arrivals level. The bus then heads to the city and makes a loop before heading back to the airport. The most convenient stop for the trip back to the airport is at Estação shopping centre on Avda 7 de Setembro. There is a bus stop at the east end of this shopping mall, just off the main road. From here, the bus heads directly to the airport.
Route: Airport - Rodoferroviária on Av Affonso Camargo (Bus Station) - Teatro Guaíra - Receita Federal - Biblioteca Pública - Rua 24 Horas - Shopping Estação - Airport.
Timings: Buses leave the airport Mon-Fri at 0520, 0555, then every 15-20 mins until 2300, then every 30 mins until 0030. Buses leave the airport on Saturdays at 0520, 0600, then every 15-20 mins until 2300, then every 30 mins until 0030. Buses leave the airport on Sundays at 0600, then every 20 mins until 2300, then every 30 mins until 0030. Buses leave Shopping Estação Mon-Fri at 0455, 0530, then every 15-20 mins until 2252. Saturdays at 0455, 0530, then every 15-20 mins until 2245. Sundays at 0530, then every ~20 mins until 2245.
Transfer time: From the airport to the first stop (Rodoferroviaria) ~30 mins. From the airport to Estação shopping centre ~50 mins. From Estação shopping centre to the airport 25-30 mins. Local Buses: Local Bus leaves from the shelter outside the airport (exit arrivals, cross the road and turn right). They run to the Centro Civico in Curitiba or to São José dos Pinhais.
Rental Cars:
On-Airport Rental Car Providers: Several companies have desks in arrivals including Unidas (ALAMO/Nationa), Localiza, AVIS, Movida & HERTZ. HERTZ run shuttle buses to a remote location.
Car Parking:
Airport Car Park: Car parks are directly opposite the terminal. Cost: 15 mins free, 15-60 mins BRL 7, 1-2 hrs BRL 10, 2-3 hrs BRL 11, 3-4 hrs BRL 12, 4-5 hrs BRL 13, 5-6 hrs BRL 14, 6-7 hrs BRL 15, 7-24 hrs BRL 25. Each extra 24 hr period BRL 23.
Estapar: Estapar operate remote car parking. Free shuttle buses run from outside arrivals to the remote parking lots. Cost: From BRL 15.90 per day. Contact: Tel 3383 0808.
Express Park: Express Park operate remote car parking. Free shuttle buses run from outside arrivals to the remote parking lots. Contact: Tel 41 3385 0807.

Baggage Storage: Coin lockers are just outside the terminal on the arrivals level. Prices run from BRL 8-12 per day.
Currency Services: ATMs/Cash machines are in the arrivals area.

Florianópolis - Hercilio Luz (FLN):

Location: 8km/5 miles S of the city of Florianopolis.
By Road: To Florianopolis city 14 km/9 Miles.
By Taxi: There is an Aerotaxi desk as you exit the baggage hall. It is open from 0700 until the last flight. Tel (48) 3331-4182. Radio Taxi (48) 3240 6009.
By Bus: Sudoeste Buses 183, 186 & 6120 run along the airport access road at regular intervals 0530-0000 and run to the Central Bus Station (Ticen) in the city. From there, buses run all over the island.
By Shuttle Van: Airport Line run door to door vans from the airport all over the island. See www.airportline.com.br or call (48) 3024 6369.

Rental Cars:
On-Airport Rental Car Providers: The following companies have desks in arrivals: Dollar/Thrifty (48) 3334 0409, Locar Alpha (48) 3236 0607, ALAMO/National/Unidas (48) 3234 7239, inova (48) 3236 1426 & Localiza (48) 3236 1244.
Off-Airport Rental Car Providers: Several Car Rental companies are located along the airport access road, including: Locare (48) 3234 2000, TOP Rent a Car (48) 3338 8008, Lemans Rent a Car (48) 3222 9999 & Thrifty 3371 3022.

Car Parking: There is parking opposite the terminal. Cost: 1st hour BRL 6, 2nd hour BRL 3, each extra hour BRL 1. 1st day BRL 28. Each extra day BRL 24. Remote parking is available at several companies located along the airport access road.
Money Services: There are ATMs/Cash Machines outside arrivals across the road. There is a Bureau de Change/Currency Exchange in arrivals. There is a Post Office upstairs in the terminal.

Foz do Iguaçu/Iguaçu Falls (IGU):

Location: 11 km/7 miles SE of Foz de Iguacu town (Brazil). 8 km/5 Miles E of Puerto Iguazu (Argentina), across the bridge and border. 14 km/9 Miles SE of Ciudad del Este (Paraguay), across bridges and borders.
By Taxi: There is a taxi desk as you exit the baggage hall which will issue you a voucher for a taxi. They offer simple transfers as well as tours. Tel +55 45 3529 8821. However, you pay the driver directly. Taxis wait outside. To Foz de Iguacu town ~BRL 60/15 mins. To the Iguassu Falls park entrance BRL 30/5-10 mins. To the Iguassu Falls Resort BRL 50/5-10 mins. Note: taxis are able to travel freely to and from Argentina with passengers.
By Bus: A Parque Nacional bus is reported to leave every 22 mins 0530-1900, then hourly until 0040.

Car Parking: Car parks are right in front of the terminal. Cost: Up to 10 mins free, 11-30 mins BRL 4, 31-60 mins BRL 6, 61-91 mins BRL 8, 91 mins-2 hrs BRL 10, 2 hrs-2:30 BRL 12, 2:30-3 hrs BRL 14, 3 hrs-3:30 BRL 15, 3:30-4 hrs BRL16, 4 hrs-4:30 BRL 17, 4:30-5 hrs BRL 18, 5 hrs-5:30 BRL 19, 5:30-6 hrs BRL 20, 6 hrs-6:30 BRL 21, 6:30-7 hrs BRL 22, 7 hrs-7:30 BRL 23, 7:30-8 hrs BRL 24, 8-24 hrs BRL 25. Each extra day BRL 25.
Currency Services: There are ATMs/Cash Machines in arrivals. Airport Hotels: None at the airport terminal, but the closest hotel is the Hotel Florença, 5 mins away by taxi. The very pleasant Iguassu Resort is only 5-10 mins away.
Note: There are 2 airports, one on the Argentinean side and one on the Brazilian. Check you have the correct airport.

Porto Alegre - Salgado Filho Intl (POA):

Location: 6 km/4 miles NE of the city center.
Airport Overview: 2 terminals. terminal 2 is for Azul. terminal 1 is for all other airlines. Terminal 2 is much smaller and more basic, and is a short walk from Terminal 1. It is connected to the Aeroporto train station by a pedestrian bridge. terminal 1 is much larger and has all the usual facilities. Arrivals are on the lower level, departures upstairs.

By Taxi:
General: Taxis wait outside both terminals.
Meter Rates: Band 1 (0600-2200 Mon-Fri): BRL 1.75/km. Band 2 (Other times & Holidays): BRL 2.29/km).
Approximate Costs: To the city centre ~BRL 30/15-20 mins.
Taxi Companies: There is a Cootaero Taxi desk in the arrivals level of Terminal 1, or tel 3342 5000.
By Bus:
General: Buses depart from outside the lower level of Terminal 1. Cross 1 lane of traffic to find the bus stops. Some buses are air conditioned, others not.
Bus T5 to the City centre: Buses run to the city centre, via Azenha & Borges, and terminate at Santana. Timings: Buses run every 15 mins or so Mon-Fri 0530-0001. Saturdays every 15-20 mins 0539-2337 & Sundays every 30 mins 0539-2330. Cost: BRL 2.80, pay on board.
Bus T11 to Eastern & Southern Suburbs: Buses run down the Eastern side of the city and on to the southern suburbs, including Teresopolis, Cavalhada & Nonoai. Timings: Buses run every 20 mins or so Mon-Fri 0545-2345. Saturdays every 20 mins 0600-2306 & Sundays every 20-30 mins 0600-2310. Cost: BRL 2.80, pay on board.
Other Buses: Buses 705, B02, B09 & B56 also run to and from the airport.

By Train: There is a train station called 'Aeroporto' connected to terminal 2 by a pedestrian bridge. Trains run from here South to the city, and to the North.

Rental Cars:
On-Airport Rental Car Providers: The following companies have desks in the arrivals level of Terminal 1: AVIS, Movida, Unidas, (ALAMO/National), Locar Alpha, HERTZ & Localiza. The situation in Terminal 2 is unknown.

Car Parking: A multi storey car park is opposite terminal 1.
Currency Services: Bureau de Change and ATMS/Cash machines in terminal 1 arrivals.
Baggage Storage: Coin operated lockers are outside Terminal 1 on the ground level. BRL 12 per day.
Airport Hotels: The Novotel Hotel is opposite the airport. Tel +51 3302 7600. There is also an Ibis hotel nearby.
