La Ceiba - Goloson Intl (LCE):
Location:
8 km/5 Miles WSW of the city & 65 km/41 Miles E of Tela.
By Taxi: To La
Ceiba ~US$5 using an airport taxi. By hailing a taxi on the public road outside
the airport you can get a much cheaper ride. To the airport ~US$3.
By Bus: Colectivos run to the city for less than US$1.

Roatan Intl (RTB):
Location:
On the S side of the island very close to the NE of Coxen Hole & 10 km/6 Miles E
of West End.
By Taxi: Fixed rate taxis available. To Coxen Hole ~US$2 & to
West End ~US$10.
By Bus: Several hotels including the Fantasy Island
Resort provide free transfers for guests.
Rental Cars: Available.

San Pedro Sula - La Mesa Intl (SAP):
Location: 13 km/8 miles SE of the City.
By Taxi:
To the city 150-200LPS (US$9-13). Taxi to the overpass
(for buses) LPS 30 (US$2).
By Bus: No buses serve the airport, however buses to La Lima pass the airport exit at the overpass. This is too far to walk in the hot climate, but see taxi section above.

Tegucigalpa - Toncontín Intl (TGU):
Location: 5 km/3 miles SSW of the City.
By Taxi:
To the city ~US$8 upwards/15-25 mins. The Airport Taxi Company has a set price of
HNL 140(~US $7.50) to
anywhere in the city. Cheaper taxis pass by on the main road in front of the airport, but one has to haggle the price in Spanish because there are
no taxi meters.
By Bus: Many
buses going to Lomas pass the airport, including Bus#24. Cost HNL
3.50/30-35 mins. Citybuses are not allowed in the centre of Tegucigalpa, and so
many leave from the town of Comayaguela S of the city. Transfer time from there
to the airport is ~20 mins.
However, taxis are a much safer option for foreigners.

Airport Tax:
Intl US$30 or US$27 for Honduran nationals.
Airport Hotels:
Tegu Airport B&B
Homestay is the closest accommodation to the
airport and provides a pick up service for guests.
Airport Tax:
Honduran International Airport Tax is now $32.32 or HNL 611 (Lempiras)
Payable in either currency in cash only. If paying US$33, you would get your
change in lempiras because only US banknotes are commonly used as a secondary
currency in Honduras. Therefore, if paying $35 USD you would get back $2 USD
cash and the equivalent of 68 cents in lempiras, enough to buy a couple of
cookies at Expresso Americano (the Honduran equivalent of Starbucks) which is
located just meters away from the tax payment kiosk.
